The Sweet Home Education Foundation (SHEF) is a non-profit formed in 2019 to assist students and families in the Sweet Home Central School District. To date, SHEF has raised over $50,000 for the District, impacting students in every Sweet Home building.
At this time, SHEF is seeking one (1) Board member for a one-year term who is dedicated to our mission. Currently, SHEF initiatives are focused on food insecurity, district music programs, literacy, and classroom projects. The SHEF Board of Directors meets once a month, with much of our work dedicated to fundraising and volunteer opportunities. We ask for board members to volunteer for projects and work independently throughout the year. Board terms can be extended should the Board member choose to remain with SHEF.
We have great opportunities for a prospective board member, and are looking for someone who is motivated to assist our Sweet Home students by developing business sponsorships, organizing fundraising events, and engaging with the school community.
