Each year, SHEF presents two awards, the Friends of SHEF Staff Award and the Friends of SHEF Community Award. Winners have shown exemplary support to SHEF and have been recognized accordingly. See our prior winners below.
Mike Henel, owner of Henel Enterprises Inc. which manages multiple local 7-Eleven stores, was the recipient of the 2023-2024 Friends of SHEF Community Award.
Lyn Custodi, director of community education for Sweet Home Schools, was the recipient of the 2023-2024 Friends of SHEF Staff Award.
Ally (pictured left) of Favorites Pizza Amherst, was the recipient of the 2022-2023 Friends of SHEF Community Award.
Kristina Pinkowski (pictured right), science teacher at Sweet Home High School, was the recipient of the 2022-2023 Friends of SHEF Staff Award.
McDonald's, was the recipient of the 2021-2022 Friends of SHEF Community Award.
Bri VanHarrison (pictured right), english teacher at Sweet Home High School, was the recipient of the 2021-2022 Friends of SHEF Staff Award.
FeedMore, was the recipient of the 2020-2021 Friends of SHEF Community Award.
Anthony Day, former superintendent of Sweet Home Central School District, was the recipient of the 2020-2021 Friends of SHEF Staff Award.
